Upstate SC Chapter of Sisters in Crime

Our terrific regional chapter is a member of Sisters in Crime, an international organization formed more than two decades ago to encourage and support women mystery
authors. Worldwide, SinC has more than 3,000 members. Our  chapter includes both aspiring and published authors and people who simply love to read. We have both men and women members. Click here to visit our blog.

Our headliners include authors and experts in law enforcement, forensics and other allied fields. Past speakers have run the gamut from FBI agents, medical examiners and prosecutors to defense attorneys, weapons specialists, and identity theft experts. If you have a suggestion for a speaker, please contact me. We meet at 6:15 p.m. the first Thursday of each month at The Runway Cafe in Greenville, South Carolina for dinner and lively conversation before our guest speaker takes the podium at 7 p.m. I’m a past President and the current VP.

Palmetto Romance Writers

This brand new chapter of Romance Writers of America (RWA) meets in downtown Greenville, SC, on the second Satruday of the month. Will post the website when it’s available.

Seneca Chapter (SCWW)
South Carolina Writers Workshop

SCWW serves writers throughout the State. Members include poets, nonfiction authors and fiction writers. The goal is to help all writers--new or established--improve their craft. Each fall the SCWW hosts a Writers Conference that draws many top agents and authors.

The Seneca chapter meets the third Saturday of each month at the Downtown Seneca branch of the Oconee Library at 9:15 a.m. Each month a member leads a group lesson/discussion on a craft topic such as point of view, character development, dialogue, pacing, etc.

Lowcountry Romance Writers (RWA)

Lowcountry Romance Writers of America is the Charleston, SC.-area chapter of Romance Writers of America. The members all have one thing in common—an interest in the writing, reading, marketing, and success of all forms of fiction for women readers. The chapter welcomes writers of all genres— romance, mystery, urban fantasy, or any of the other myriad genres being published today with women in mind. LRWA meets the fourth Saturday of each month at Coosaw Creek Country Club, Edisto Room. The monthly programs include lunch, networking and workshops.
